Whistleblowing is a procedure that allows a company’s employees, suppliers or customers to report, in a confidential and protected manner, any misconduct observed during the course of their work activities. The term is intended to deliberately recall the referee’s or policeman’s whistle, aimed at attracting attention to restore order. Often, in fact, those who become aware of misconduct are reluctant to report it, for fear of exposure (sometimes, even retaliation).
This pollutes the work environment and poses a serious risk to the company itself. This is why the Whistleblowing tool was born, with Directive (EU) 2019/1937 of the European Parliament and of the Council of October 23, 2019, which Italy adopted in March 2023 with Legislative Decree No. 24 of March 10, 2023.
Perfektüp has adapted to the new legislation by including on the website a page dedicated to Whistleblowing reports that can be reached through this link, which is clearly visible in the footer section of all pages that make up the site.
Whistleblowing, however, is not sent directly through Perfektüp’s channels, but through a third-party platform, accessible from the page indicated, which allows a totally anonymous transmission thanks to encryption tools to ensure the confidentiality of the identity of the reporter, the content of the reports and the
related documentation, including anonymity.
The report made through the platform:
- is received by the external Manager, identified by the company, endowed with autonomy and independence;
- allows dialogue, also in anonymous form, between the reporter and the reporting manager for requests for clarification, in-depth analysis, additions, without the need to provide personal contacts;
- can be used from any digital device (pc, tablet, smartphone) both from within the company and outside it. Protection of anonymity is guaranteed in all cases.
We are pleased to have integrated this new procedure into our internal processes, which is an important element of compliance and contributes significantly to the creation of a healthy and peaceful working environment.
