The then Favia Tubettificio, always active in the search for innovation from the technological and sustainable point of view, has studied the implementation of an ecological and biodegradable closure capsule for its tubes.

It is a capsule made of a biopolymer, called bioplastic, a material of natural origin obtained from various sources such as cellulose, pineapple stalk or algae; all plant sources that give rise to a material similar to traditional plastic in terms of strength, stability and flexibility.

For the compostable capsule, the company has chosen certified technopolymers comparable to hard plastic in terms of strength, robustness and reliability, but of completely natural origin.

Compostable

It retains its integrity for a long time in using context, but once its use cycle is over it can be disposed of as organic waste because it has the ability to degrade completely.
